Week in Buses: Colombia Praised, Livable Streets and Retro Songs

I ike to start off with humor, so here’s a long forgotten song from the ’50s about pollution:

  • Colombia is getting praises in blogs this week with Florida modeling it’s bicycle party after Bogota’s Ciclovia. Mark, my boyfriend, lived in Bogota for six years and can attest to the “funness” of Ciclovia and to the efficient bus system praised by TreeHugger in “Best of Green: Cars and Transportation.”
  • I’m entering this contest sponsored by Good.is magazine and Streetsblog  to redesign a horrible intersection into a livable street. You should too!
